We’ve been taking care of it for 40 years.

We are celebrating our 40th company anniversary and rewarding ourselves with a redesign of our corporate identity and a new internet presence.

2018
What a performance.

LOHR has been successfully active on the market for 39 years. A large number of prestigious projects have been concluded in the past few years and handed over to our customers.

2014
Caution, alarm.

The EMA alarm management system is successfully developed in-house for use by the emergency services.

2010
Let the sun shine.

We vigorously pursue the development of the renewable energy division and erect our first photovoltaic systems.

2008
A new beginning.

At the beginning of June, after only 4 months of construction, we relocate to our new building in the 23rd district with 2,700 m² of office and warehouse facilities.

2007
Time for a new home.

Due to the continuous positive developments of the company, the consolidation of our 5 operating facilities and move to a new, modern building has become necessary.

2006
What a great honor.

Our CEO, Günter Slabihoud, is named Kommerzialrat (councilor of commerce) by the City of Vienna.

2005
According to standards.

LOHR is henceforth a certified company according to the DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 quality management principles.

2004
Raise your glasses.

We celebrate our 25th company anniversary with 550 invited guests and look back on the continuously positive development of our company.

2002
Constant growth.

The major Gasometer and Entertainmentcenter projects are handed over at the same time as 12 telecommunication booster stations in Austria and Germany. Total order volume of approx. 30 million Austrian Shilling.

2001
We’ll take care of it.

2 major MSR projects with an order volume of over 30 million Austrian Shilling are successfully completed.

2000
New structures.

Hans Lohr leaves the company and Günter Slabihoud takes over 100% of the company shares. By now we employ 100 people and our revenue is over 100 million Austrian Schilling.

1999
LOHR übernehmen Sie.

We take over the Hönisch electrical company and the support of Siemens Landis & Staefa Division’s well-known clients in the area of security following their integration into Siemens AG.

1996
Failure free.

We are commissioned by the municipal department 32 to construct a fault monitoring system to monitor and remotely control the heating systems and building service equipment for over 200 public properties.

1995
Healthy growth.

As a contractor, we take care of numerous properties belonging to the City of Vienna as well as the Viennese Hospital Association. By now we employ 51 people and our revenue grows to 50 million Austrian Schilling.

1994
Time for change.

Hans Lohr leaves the operational business. In his place, Günter Slabihoud takes over the electrical engineering and security technology divisions as well.

1993
New technologies.

Der EDV-Boom beginnt sich abzuzeichnen. Die Abteilung für Nachrichtentechnik mit dem Schwerpunkt Netzwerktechnik wird gegründet.

1990
VIE is counting on us.

As an official system integrator for the standard Landis & Staefa products, we now also serve the municipal authorities of the City of Vienna. The number of employees grows to 34.

1989
Worthwhile investments.

Our first CAD workstation is installed at a value of 180,000 Austrian Schilling.

1987
The world of work is changing.

The first Personal Computer XT with IT industry package is purchased. The industry software ARINS is developed in cooperation with Softwarehaus Edlinger, and is later enhanced with the calculation, order processing, and statistics modules.

1986
Keeping with the times.

The communication age has begun. A telex device is purchased for the transmission of construction reports, followed several months later by the first fax machine G1.

1985
Successful growth.

We expand into the related areas of heating, ventilation, and climate control. Numerous successful projects follow as we work as a subcontractor for Landis & Gyr. The first distributor is developed. The switchgear construction division is created. The number of employees grows to 19.

1984
Things go uphill quickly.

We receive the first of many contracts from the City of Vienna. The development of the control and regulation technology division begins.

1983
Safety first.

LOHR develops the first of their own alarm systems. The cornerstone of the security technology division is laid.

1980
Heading for new shores.

Relocation of the company headquarters and warehouse facilities to the 15th district on Markgraf Rüdigerstraße 24. We already employ 3 people.

1979
The adventure begins.

Hans Lohr and Günter Slabihoud found Hans Lohr Ges.mbH located at Kaiserstraße 79 and a small warehouse with a desk in it on Grenzgasse. The men and their first employee carry out electrical installations and fault corrections, mainly in the private sector.
